Annual Ball of ESN Lappeenranta
We are honored to announce our debut Annual Ball, scheduled for the autumn of 2024. The main event will be on the 19th of October, and the Sillis will be on the 20th.
The cocktail reception. Starting from the Lappeenranta harbor, we will sail over Saimaa to Taipalsaari on the largest inland ship in Finland. We will enjoy the gentle Finnish autumn, which always brings you new friends and connections at the university. We don’t separate guests, so every guest of the main venue is included in our cruise. The price of the entire event for the invited guests is 75€ per person, and we expect two representatives from every invited guild and organization. Every guest will have a glass with a welcome drink at the cocktail event.

The main venue. At the shore of Saimaa, enjoying autumn colors, we celebrate at the clubhouse Väinölä in Taipalsaari. The formal dinner includes a 3-course menu and beverages.

The afterparty. We will hold our afterparty at the Valta Club. We organize transportation from the main venue to the club.

Sillis breakfast. The Sillis of ESN Annual Ball will be held on campus. Drinks and food are included, but participation is paid separately.

All the details of customs will be mailed to participants before the event. The registration deadline is 15.09.2024, and the payment deadline is 30.09.2024. Please register and pay as soon as possible to help us manage this event smoothly. The amount of spots is limited. Every participant of the main venue will receive a patch and a free bucket.

Formal etiquette characterizes the Annual Ball, known as “vujut” in Finnish, the most outstanding event of the year. The Annual Ball begins with a cocktail reception, during which invited visitors attend to express their warmest wishes to the guild. The main event includes a three-course dinner, speeches, songs, dancing, and awards presentations. After the primary event, the festivities continue at the afterparty. A traditional breakfast, “sillis,” is served the morning following the Annual Ball.
