Results of the Extraordinary General Meeting

On 26.04.2025, Saturday, ESN Lappeenranta ry had an Extraordinary General Meeting.

Point 11.3 of the organisation statute was changed from “If ESN Lappeenranta is dissolved or abolished, its funds and other possessions will be donated to ESN Finland.” to “If ESN Lappeenranta is dissolved or abolished, its funds and other possessions will be donated to the Student Union of LUT University, LTKY.”

Due to the current president’s resignation, the new president was elected for the period of 01.08.2025 – 31.12.2025: Art Merikotka.

Art and Kilian are going to Norpparadio

Art (ESN Project Manager) and Kilian (ESN Host) are going to Norpparadio for a couple of hours to host their talk show. They are both fond travellers and want to share their experiences and opinions about why travel is important and can broaden your horizons.

Results of the Spring General Meeting

1. Art Merikotka (Project Manager 2024) presented the Annual Report 2024 by Ryan Coombes due to the absence of Ryan Coombes (President 2024).
2. The Financial statement for 2024 was presented by Veeti Alatalo (Treasurer 2024).
3. Mats Haager presented his auditor statement for the 2024 year.
4. The board of 2024 was released of the liability.
5. The General Meeting elected Joonas Salmela as a Fresher Captain for the 2024/2025 study year.
6. Due to admission to another educational institution and moving out of Lappeenranta, Joel Ruotsalainen resigned from the position of President, and his last day in the position will be 31.07.2025.
